June 8 is Jelly-Filled Donut Day!
Wow, just yesterday was National Donut Day! I supposed donuts are important enough to have 2 holidays. If you're wondering WHY there are 2 national holidays for donuts, check this out.
So it's sort of like having 2 national holidays for vets, right? Um...er...eh...ok, not at all like that. To all of you who protect our country every day, I have the utmost admiration and gratitude for you, and in no way mean to make light of the much-deserved special holidays that commemorate your hard work and dedication.
But, this blog is called Celebrate Every Date, and not every date has something as important as honoring our country's military, so we will just keep having fun and learning about some more obscure holidays. How about reading up on the history of the jelly donut?
